I am so pleased to present my latest sculpture releases: Dahlia and Peony! A heavy draft mare and foal duo out having a frolic in their field. The sun is shining, there's a soft breeze in the air and birds are chirping. The lush green grass blows in the breeze; spring has sprung! This dynamic pair will be available both together and separately during a limited ordering window.
I am planning to have a small batch in hand and available for purchase FIRST at Dappledown Soiree, located at the Mansion at Marriot during Stone Equilocity (which is just a stones throw (heh) away from the Breyerfest Clarion host hotel! Dahlia
Dahlia represents a number of heavier draft breeds, my main references including the Brabant (European Belgian) and the Dutch Heavy Draft. This broodmare is happily galloping across her field - you can almost feel her steps shake the ground beneath you. Since she was sculpted to suit a number of heavy breeds (or crosses) I really think she can be painted in a rainbow of colors! With minor tweaking, I think she would also be a fun performance prospect! She has a relaxed demeanor, with one ear carefully listening for her foal (or maybe her rider).

Peony
Peony may be small in size (for now) but she has huge presence! Her fuzzy foal texture was so much fun to create, I just want to sink my fingers in her fur and give her some good scritches (if she ever stands still) This little lady is going places! Whether she's racing friends, or her mom, you can tell she plans to be FIRST or else! She is not afraid to forge her own path, and looks like she's about to leap right off her base. This spunky little filly can represent a number of large draft breeds. She is meant to portray a foal about 1 week old.
