Aster depicts a non-breed specific grazing mare in 1:9 scale.
Watching horses graze out on open pasture is such a relaxing, meditative moment to watch. I just imagine sitting out under the shade of a tree, reading a book or just being present, listening to all the sounds of spring outside. The birds, a gentle breeze, maybe even a quiet stream running through the pasture, and of course the sounds of horses tearing and chewing on the spring grass. Horses are so helpful in remembering to go out and "touch grass" and be present when the world outside tends to feel dark or overwhelming.
Version 1 is a hairless version of the sculpture - she is limited to a 1 mold run and will be sold with one-of-a-kind sculpted manes and tails by the artist, with the collectors guidance! Newsletter subscribers get a heads up when these pieces will be available for ordering.
Aster is available for commission for $625 Postage Paid to the US.
What does this include?
- Unpainted Aster with a mane and tail sculpted to your preference*
- Model will be partially prepped but not primed as most painters have their own preferences.
- Certificate of Authenticity
*Please note that I will NOT repeat previous designs I have already sculpted on this model. I want to ensure each piece is unique (and honestly I don't want to sculpt a bunch of the same stuff ;] ). That is not to say I won't do more than one "windblown" or "tousled" mane and tail, but I will take steps to make sure they do not repeat anything previously, whether that be changing the length, or wind direction, braid style or size, etc. Please note that while I am happy to use references as a guide, I will not be copying anything 100%, to allow for my own artistic interpretation Gender change or twitched ears can be done for an extra cost - i am not offering additional customization options on this edition.
Please also note that this does NOT include paintwork I *may* consider painting some of these projects on a case-by-case basis, this will be an additional cost with basic traditional colors start at $1200 additional.
What will be the turn around time?
I estimate the completion time of your Aster to be from 2-6 months! It all really depends on the complexity of the hair and where you are in the queue. I have other commissions, casting and sculpting projects I am working on simultaneously. You are welcome to reach out to me at any time for an update!
Will you take time payments?
Yes, absolutely! Her edition will be sold via $100 deposit, with the rest to be paid off over a period of up to 6 months. Minimum amount due every 30 days would be $100, but you may pay her off faster if you would like. All deposits made towards your Aster are non-refundable. Please note if you Aster is completed early, your horse will not ship until the total balance is paid off, and if you pay her off faster than I finish her, I will certainly keep that in mind when scheduling but also note that it may take the full 6 months to see your model completed.
Where can Aster be shipped to?
Right now, I can only ship this edition of Aster to the US, Canada, Great Britain, and Australia.. Shipping out of the US will be an additional cost. I am happy to ship to a US based third party or directly to an artist for and overseas buyer, but please note that my responsibility ends when your model reaches the third party's destination safely. Aster will be shipped with her full declared value - meaning that anywhere international she will need to go Priority International and may incur additional taxes or vat based on your country that the buyer is responsible for.
